As a fully qualified teacher, I have taught practical, theory, aural training and music appreciation to students of all ages. I play classical, pop, jazz, latin jazz, afro-cuban and Caribbean-Fusion music and have a passion for encouraging others to play music that they love.
My scores are all correctly notated theoretically, and definitely playable. I specialize in specified composing, arranging, and modern avante garde composition. I can bring out the uniqueness in a song or a work by adding my personal style, or working to help you express your own.
My principal instrument is the Steelpan a.k.a. Steel Drum, so naturally, I specialize in transcribing and arranging and composing music for steelpan and other pitched percussion. But I have transcribed music for a wide range of instruments, including voice. Please note that while I do not transcribe in TAB, I do write out guitar transcriptions using standard notation. I can transcribe both original music, or already recorded songs for which the published sheet music is unavailable.
I complete most transcriptions in under five days. Using only the most current Industry Standard Music Notation Software, I will deliver to you professional sheet music as a PDF file that you can have published or duplicated. I can provide you with a MIDI file, an MUS file, or an XML file (readable by Sibelius), as well as transpositions. I am also able to take your hand written score and produce a professional engraving.
